On Oct. 12, 2024, our Oregon Ducks grippingly beat Ohio State 32-31. Led by 341 yards passing by Quarterback Dillon Gabriel, 115 receiving yards by Wide Receiver Evan Stewart, and five tackles by Defensive Back Brandon Johnson, they squeezed out a win by one point!
Historically, they have had a hard time beating Ohio State. Ohio State has dominated the football series against Oregon, leading with a 9-2 record. The Buckeyes won the first nine matchups, including a notable victory in the 2015 College Football Playoff National Championship, where Ohio State defeated Oregon 42-20. Oregon's first win occurred in 2021 when they stunned Ohio State with a 35-28 victory at Ohio Stadium. Then, on Oct 12, 2024, they beat them at home in front of 60,129 fans at Autzen Stadium, a new attendance record.
Now our Ducks are ranked #2, and if they can win out the season, fingers crossed, we will be in the National Championship. It’s a good day to be a Duck, and maybe not a great day to be a Buckeye.
